When I sold a house (from California) located in New Mexico to a house-flipping mortgage broker in Texas in 2002, same thing nearly happened to me. When a buyer for the house in New Mexico hit them for a multitude of undisclosed charges, they tried, in turn to collect from me. Luckily, I was able to cut them off at the pass.

I write on con men and their games of all kinds. Have been doing this for the past 45 years.
Sadly, this curent subprime mess is about the ugliest I've ever seen. And, undisclosed charges enters, large, into it.
